SUDAMERICA 2010

In recent years Ecuador has been the scene of a great cultural exchange; witnessing the transformation of walls of its cities, in worthy canvasses that would deserve to be in galleries, beautifying the urban landscape with murals that are dedicated to the society, whose objective is to please and touch feelings of citizens who pass through the streets. This feeds back younger generations; giving chance to get new unconventional artists, fact that allows the development of new techniques and raises the artistic level day by day.

SOUTH AMERICA 2010 aims to eliminate barriers between partner nations, barriers that have generated debates about techniques, materials and experiences about cities and artist. The event’s desire is to have a cultural exchange about the reality of graffiti in South America.

This event will be a great contribution to urban art and worldwide graffiti, eliminating frontiers and expanding culture with the invited countries.

Ecuador will be hosting this event, and its capital, Quito, will have the pleasure to be the main point and center of discussion of the universal language called "Graffiti - Street Art".

From April 2 to 4, more than 50 artists from: Puerto Rico, Venezuela, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Chile and Brazil will meet in Quito, to exhibit their artistic abilities and creativity. The hosts and organizers of the event are the members of the Collective Masters of the Funk Crew (MFC) in association with the Northern Zonal Administration of the Metropolitan District of Quito.
