to get good stickers all you have to do is find a full paste sticker and use tipex over it then draw on the tipex.

personally i don't mind splashing out a bit and getting them professionally made at a printing company, like flying fortress.
but i don't know about home made stickers.
if i wanted to do something like that i would just make small posters and paste them up.
(laminate maby?)
